Author Irene Stern Frielich shares the inspirational story of her family’s escape
from Germany on Kristallnacht in 1938. Irene’s father was 12 years old when they
fled their home and crossed the border to the Netherlands. Her book Shattered
Stars Healing Hearts retraces the Stern-Herzfeld family’s steps to freedom.
Join us for an engaging multi-media presentation where Irene chronicles her
family’s journey from 1938-1945. Irene shares excerpts from her father’s
testimonial where he finally shares the dramatic experiences of the war.
Irene describes 3 transformational trips to Germany and Holland she made with
her own family in 2018-19. She is deeply grateful to the 18 courageous individuals
who helped her family survive the Holocaust. Shattered Stars Healing Hearts
offers a message of hope, peace and caution for the world in which  we live
today. The presentation will be followed by an opportunity for Q&A and a book
signing.
