DESCRIPTION: Asia (Hebrew: אסיה) is a 2020 Israeli drama film directed by Ruthy Pribar\, starring Alena Yiv and Shira Haas\, star of Unorthodox and Shtisel\n\nAsia is a Russian woman and single mother working as a nurse in Jerusalem. Her teenaged daughter Vika (Shira) is in failing health but their relationship has ongoing struggles. Asia’s motherhood has always been an ongoing struggle rather than an obvious instinct. Becoming a mother at a very early age has shaped Asia’s relationship with her teenage daughter Vika. Despite living together\, Asia and Vika barely interact with one another. Asia concentrates on her job as a nurse while Vika hangs out at the skate-park with her friends. Their routine is shaken when Vika’s health deteriorates rapidly. A blender/tortillion\, cotton swab\, or rolled paper is helpful for shading. “Anything is possible — one stroke at a time.” Michael’s and Amazon have the Micron. You can get a set of 3 for less than $10\, but just getting the number 1 micron and maybe a 5 will be enough. \nFree to Sisterhood and Temple member and their families. It was directed by Romanian-born Radu Mihăileanu. It won awards at the Berlin and Vancouver film festivals among others. \nSchlomo\, an Ethiopian boy\, is placed by his Christian mother with an Ethiopian Jewish woman whose child has died. This woman\, who will become his adoptive mother\, is about to be airlifted from a Sudanese refugee camp to Israel during Operation Moses in 1984. His birth mother\, who hopes for a better life for him\, tells him “Go\, live\, and become\,” as he leaves her to get on the bus. The film tells of his growing up in Israel and how he deals with the secrets he carries: not being Jewish and having left his birth mother. \nRuns about 140 min. DESCRIPTION:Whether you are a beginner or an experienced dancer\, join us for a fun evening. We will learn the basic steps through easy dances of different styles. This Israeli dance workshop will introduce you to the basic steps with lots of practice and an emphasis on fun! \nPlease wear sneakers or soft-soled shoes and comfortable clothes. There is a chairlift to the social hall. \nAnne Schwartz has been leading Israeli folk dance in the Merrimack Valley since 2010. She has been dancing since childhood and has studied many styles including ballet\, modern\, jazz and swing. Anne is currently a member of Encore Dance Ensemble\, a dance company in the Boston area. During the school year\, she is a math tutor in the Salem MA public school system.
