Irene’s father was 12 years old when they\nfled their home and crossed the border to the Netherlands. Her book Shattered\nStars Healing Hearts retraces the Stern-Herzfeld family’s steps to freedom.\nJoin us for an engaging multi-media presentation where Irene chronicles her\nfamily’s journey from 1938-1945. Irene shares excerpts from her father’s\ntestimonial where he finally shares the dramatic experiences of the war.\nIrene describes 3 transformational trips to Germany and Holland she made with\nher own family in 2018-19.
