Her first book subtitled “European Surnames: Meanings and Traditions” traces the evolution of surname patterns on the European continent from the dawn of inheritable family names. The second volume examines naming traditions across Asia\, including a chapter on naming practices in Israel and the Jewish Diaspora. The final book turns to Africa\, highlighting the remarkable diversity of personal naming customs across the continent.\nThe author\, born in Romania and proficient in several languages\, holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics. Are you curious about the origins of your family name? Following the presentation\, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A with the author.
