The membership may be approved by a majority agreement of the Chairperson of the Membership Committee\, the President\, the Vice-President and the Rabbi. The Membership Committee shall report on each application and the action taken to the Board of Directors. \nThis bylaw change would update the procedure for reviewing and approving membership applications. \nArticle V –\nSection 5: \nThe Board shall be empowered to elect candidates for membership\, to sell or rent pews or seats to members and non-members.  The Board shall make such rules and regulations consistent with these Bylaws as they may deem advisable for the proper conduct of their meeting and for the furtherance of the general purposes of this Congregation. \nArticle V Section 5 would be revised for consistency with the proposed change above. \n************************   \nPlease review last year’s minutes from the 2024 Annual Meeting prior to this year’s Annual Meeting. No questions.\nFirst VP: Michael – Read report. No questions.\nCo-Treasurers: Warren – Shared report on screen. Discussed cash balances. Discussed P&L vs budget. We had budgeted a deficit for the year. Our deficit was lower than budgeted. Some increase in income\, and some decrease in expenses. Still ran a deficit. Warren walked us through the differences between 2022 and 2023 P&L’s. No questions.\nRecording Secretary: Marsha – No report. No questions\nCorresponding Secretary: Susan – Read report.
